SamI am incredibly excited to be able to tell you all about Lockwood Books! Within only a few years of opening, this little shop has managed to capture the spirit of every book-lover’s fantasies. This place is teeming with coziness and character.
Lockwood Books, found in downtown St. Thomas, is mainly a used book store, and holds a beautiful collection of rare and antique novels. They also sell locally handmade goods, such as candles, vintage pin-back buttons, and stamped leather bookmarks.
However, what makes Lockwood truly special is its ability to transport you back in time as you walk through the door. The overcrowded shelves, and tables piled high with books, combined with the comfy chairs and antique decor, make you feel as if you’ve walked into your favourite period piece.
Lockwood Books is only made better by its incredibly friendly owners, and the adorable shop cat! The couple who own the shop are warm and welcoming, and always willing to help you find a great read. They also host community events, such as Dungeons and Dragons nights, and book signings.
Lockwood will soon be opening a beautiful tea garden patio, which will be the perfect place to enjoy the books you bought inside. If you’re ever near St. Thomas, make stopping at Lockwood Books your first priority!
